I appreciate that introducing an external single point of failure is a risk and operating the server is a burden.
However, I'd like to argue that failure of an "external signals" trigger is a rather benign case, as it would only cause trade entries to be skipped. I can live with that.
Thought must be given to protect against malicious abuse of the external trigger endpoint(s) on the TAT server. Auth token or something. I don't want just anybody out there to trigger trades in my account.
I'd like to make sure external triggers arriving late are ignored, to avoid trades opening erroneously due to a temporary service failure.
Might this actually be the most efficient way to support the myriad of entry conditions that people are coming up with? (or are supported by OO / other backtesters)
